2009 Tour to Taipei/Japan/Hong Kong/China

Dates are now officially set with a proposed tour organised by Paul Pinkewich to depart Sydney on the 21st April 2009 to go to Taipei, Taiwan and participate in the Taipei Asian Veterans Tournament playing on the 24-26th April.

Then travel direct to Tokyo where we stay at a famous club formerly run by the great Ichiro Ogimura where we stay at modest rates Japanese style, play against local clubs and then proceed to Yokohama to watch the kids play in the World individual Championships from the 28th to the 5th May.

After this we proceed to Hong Kong then to Szhenjen for some more therapy of table tennis matches either in Hong Kong and in Szhenjen,depending on the numbers.

This trip can be split into sections of 2 weeks and 3 weeks depending on your budget.

Approximate airfares including taxes to be around $2000, tickets for the World Championships from say $300 -$500 depending on the quality of seating and approximate accommodation to be say $$700 each per person twin share for the 2 week tour which would come in at around a budget of $3500-$4000, for the extra week in Hong China to be say $70 per day including food and accommodation so say $500.

April 21 dep Sydney-HK-Taipei

April 22-23 Taipei Sightseeing and practise

April 24,25,26 Taipei Asian Veterans Tournament

April 27 Taipei to Tokyo Club match in Tokyo

April 28,29,30,May 1,2,3,4,5 Yokohama World Table Tennis Championships

May 5 or 7 dep Tokyo - Hong Kong

May 7,8,9,10 Hong Kong/Szhenjen,China then return
